Question :- I have 2 mugs one has capacity of 5 ltr, other one has capacity of 3 ltr. I have to take exactly 1 ltr milk by using this . How to get exactly 1 ltr. Milk

Answer :-

Firstly, we will fill the 3 litre mug with the milk. Now we will put the milk in 3 litre mug into 5 litre mug

Now, we will again fill the 3 litre mug with the milk ajd pour it into the 5 litre mug until the mug is filled.

What remains in 3 litre mug, is 1 litre milk.

Because 3 + 3 = 6. But here it is mentioned 5. So, 6 - 1 = 5

1 litre can be obtained by the above way.

Answer :

As it is mentioned that, no numbers are marked on the mug.

.

So, take the mug of 3 litre and then fill it with milk completely. Then the milk of the mug, fill in the mug of 5 litres.

Again, fill the mug of 3 litre with milk and transfer it to the second mug of 5 litres. While doing so, some part of the milk will be remain in the mug of 3 litres, that is required milk i.e., 1 litre of milk.

Verification,

3 + 3 = 6 and the second container was if 5 litres, so 6 - 5 = 1.

Therefore, the required amount of milk can be obtained by above criteria.
