Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1st time:

Use 5 litre and 3 litre cans to take out the water from barrel and throw the water.

Water left over in barrel = 20 - 5 - 3 = 12 litres.

2nd time:

Use 5 litre and 3 litre cans to take out the water from barrel and throw the water.

Water left over in barrel = 12 - 5 - 3 = 4 litres.

3rd time:

Use 3 litre can to take out the water from barrel.

Water left over in barrel = 4 - 3 = 1 litre.

Answer:

i can help by taking two 5 liter can and three 3 liter can.

Step-by-step explanation:

cuz if u take away 1 from 2 ur left with 19 liter.

Now u use trial and error to find out how many can u can give me. however to keep things short and simple i will just tell u how i got it.

1. first split 19 into 2 parts ( choose 10 and 9)

2. divide the first part (10) by 5 and 3 this case 5 goes into 10 2 times. therefore u give me 2 five liter can.

3. divide the 2nd part (9) by 5 and 3. in this case 5 doesn't go into nine but 3 does go into it 3 times. therefore u give me 3 three liter can.

hope this help :-)
