I have a dog in my house as a pet. Before that, a few years ago, I used to keep cats. But for the last three decades,  I have had only dogs. This particular dog has definitely taken on my personality.  The moment I go out she insists on going with me. When I come back from work, Nikita is her name, is always there at the gate to welcome me. It is strange how the animals become a part and parcel of life!
