I have a jug of 5 litres and a jug of 3 litres. I want to get 4 litres of water for my use. How to get the exact amount of water, taking into account that there is no measure marks on the jug. Also there are no extra storage containers allowed.

Add both of them and then divide the total 8 litres of water into two by pouring 4 litres of it in the other

throw the water from 5 litres contanier

pour water from 3 liter to five litres

so we have three litres out of 5 litres

than take water in 3 liter and pour into 5 litres so

in 5 liters lastly we had we had three litres so pouring water we will get remaning 1 liter

than we throw water from 5 liters and fill the remaning 1 litres

than we will take 3litres and pour into 5 litres

we will get 4 litres in five litre jug
