Step-by-step explanation:

Solution:-

Initially have Rs. = 100

Spent on day 1 = rs. 40

Balance amount = Rs. 100 - Rs. 40

= Rs. 60

Spent on day 2 = Rs. 30

Balance amount = Rs. 60 = Rs. 30

= Rs. 30

Spent on day 3 = Rs. 18

Balance amount = Rs. 30 - Rs.18

= Rs. 12

Spent on day 4 = Rs. 12

Balance amount = Rs. 12 - Rs. 12

= 0 Rs.

Now, the problem is you are adding the balance amount. Instead , you have to add the money spent. How can spend Rs. 102 out of Rs. 100 ?
