I have a question, social science related, so like each state is divided into smaller constituencies right? So people elect one person from each constituency, so do these people with similar ideals form parties and contest in the election?

Answer:

yep exactly

Explanation:

Similarly, each state is divided into a specific number of Assembly Constituencies. In this case, the elected representative is called the Member of Legislative Assembly or an MLA. Each parliamentary constituency within it has several assembly constituencies. The same principle applies for Panchayat and Municipal elections.
