I have been travelling from place A to place 8. On
the first day travelled one quarter of the distance
On the second day, I travelled one hall of the
remaining distance. On the third day, I travelled
three-quarters of the remaining distance. Yesterday, I travelled
one-third of the remaining distance. I now have 21 km left to
travel What is the total distance between the places?

1/4x + {(1/2)×(1/4)} + [{3 × 4/ (1/2 × 1/4)}] + 21km = X

1/4 + 1/8 + 3/24 km + 21 = X

6 + 3 + 3/24(add all fraction, their LCM = 24) + 21km = X

12/24 + 21 = X

If 12 parts of 24 = the fractions then the remaining 12 parts = 21km

and 12 parts is the half of 24.

So, 12(21km) + 12(21km) = 42 km
