I have rs.35, it is full of 1rupee and 50 paisa. But it contains 3 times as fifty paisa coins as one rupee coin. Then how many 1 rupee and 50 paisa coin i have ?

50 paisa = (50/100)

               = rs. 0.50

Let, the number of rs. 1 paisa be, 'x'

So, the number of rs. 0.50 paisa = (x*3)

                                                     = 3x

By condition,

(x*1)+(3x*0.50) = 35

or, 1x + 1.5x = 35

or, 2.5 x = 35

or, x = 35/2.5

or. x = 35*10/2.5*10

or, x = 350/25

or, x = 14

So, the number of rs. 1 coin is 14

So, the number of 50 paisa coin is (14*3)

                                                       = 42 coins.
