i have some 20 paisa coins and an equal numberof 10 paisa coins.if the total amount is rs 300 how many coins each​

GIVEN :-

There are equal number of 20p coins and 10p coins.

The total amount is Rs. 300

= 300 × 100 = 30000p.

TO FIND :- The number of coins from each.

SOLUTION :-

Let the number of coins be x.

According to the question ;

10x + 20x = 30000

=> 30x = 30000

=> x = 30000 ÷ 30

=> x = 1000

Therefore, there are 1000 coins of 20 paise and another 1000 coins of 10 paise. Total number of coins is 2000. [ANS]
