The question is

I have some apples. I give 2/3rd of my apples to my brother. I am now left with 6 apple. Let me calculate how many apples I give to my brother.

Answer:

3

Step by step explanation

Let the number of apples be x

So, u have given 2/3rd of the total apples to your brother.

2/3 × x = 6

So if we want to calculate the number of apples given to brother, x should come to the first of the formula and 2/3 becomes reciprocal.

x = 6×3/2

So,

x= 3×3 = 9

Therefore,

total number of apples= 9

No. of apples left =6

So, Apples given to brother = 9-6 =3.

So the answer is 3.
