I have two questions_
1) if 2x - 6 = y and + y =4, what is the value of 3 y ?
2) if 7/x = 1 and y/4 = 6, then 3 + x/3 + y =?

i)3y=4*3=12
2)7/x=1
7=x*1
7=x
y/4=6
y=4*6
y=24
3+x/3+y=3+7/3+24
=10/27

gaks: No problem in the question
ClaraShark: i even checked it on mathway but it also gives the same answer
ClaraShark: how r these two equations related when the value to find is already given,then what will be the use of giving an equation in the question
gaks: These are not related frnd
gaks: If 2x-6 = y and +y = 4, what is the value of 3 y this the question
ClaraShark: i can even understand that but why is then that equation given when there is no need for it,is what i was telling
gaks: so now can u solve it
ClaraShark: i'm sorry but even now i think the ans should be 12,like value of y is 4 and 3*4 is 12
ClaraShark: idk if that's not the ans
ClaraShark: i tried to do it by other methods too but ans wouldn't change

1) 2x -6= y
ie , 2x-6=4
then, x= 4+6/2= 5
3y = 3x4 = 12

2) if 7/x=1
then, x=7x1 =7
and y/4=6
then, y=4x6 = 24
3 + x/3 + y= 3 + 7/3 + 24 =
