The line “I hope i will be able to confide everything to you,as i never been able to confide in anyone,and I hope you will be a great source of comfort and support” is taken from the diary of Anne Frank, from June 12, 1942 – June 24, 1942.
Anne Frank was born in Germany and had to move to Holland as they were Jews and the Jews were then imposed with many restrictive laws by the Nazis. This made the Jews and Anne Frank’s family to always live in difficulties. 

So, she started writing a diary (she named it Kitty) so that she could express her feelings openly as she couldn’t talk about it to anyone else.
Anne had written the above statement on the first day of her diary writing. She made a confession to her Kitty diary that she was going to confide all her feelings to it.

She wrote everything that she did in her daily life and this helped her in controlling and overcoming her feelings. She felt that writing a diary was a new experience since she wrote so many things which a person would not be interested to listen if she spoke about it.
