Compare above equations with
a1 x + b1 y + c1 = 0 and
a2 x + b2 y + c2 = 0
a1 = 2 , b1 = 3 , c1 = -8 ;
a2 = 4 , b2 = 6 , c2 = 7 ;
a1/a2 = 2/4 = 1/2
b1/b2 = 3/6 = 1/2
a1/a2 = b1/b2
Therefore ,
Above equations are parallel.
