Answer:

l)The vocal folds produce sound when they come together and then vibrate as air passes through them during exhalation of air from the lungs. This vibration produces the sound wave for your voice. In order for the sound to be clear and not raspy or hoarse, the vocal folds must vibrate together symmetrically and regularly.

ll)Voice of Men, Women and children are

different.

Reason:

1. Men have vocal cords about 20mm length.

2. Women have vocal cords about 5mm long.

3. Children have still very short vocal chord.

4.As the frequency of vibration of vocal cord

increases, pitch of sound produced by it

increases.

5. So, When, we go from man to woman, and

then child, the frequency of vibration of their

vocal cords increases due to which the pitch

of their voices increases.
