1) take a metal rod and heat its one end gradually you can feel the other one becoming hot this means it is a good conductor of heat .

Bt dont try it the same to show electrical conductivity

2)as cinnebar is a sulphide ore HgS so it will undergo roasting first where it will get converted into HgO liberating SO2

again heating strongly will give you Hg from HgO
