I is an exception . It's singular but in many cases , it follows the rules shared by plural words .
Shall and will don't have connection with I or We .
We use shall for uncertainty and will for certainty .
For example , See the sentences below :
• I shall write a letter .
• I will write a letter .
In the first sentence , it isn't sure that whether I will write a letter or not . I may or may not write a letter .
But , in the second sentence , it's sure that I will write a letter .
Note : Shall is used with first person only except for some cases whereas will is used with any person .
