7

52 -51 = 1

51 -48 = 3

48-43 = 5

43 -34 = 9 ( it should be 7)

So 34 should be 36

36 -27 = 9

27 -16 = 11

✌✌So 34 is wrong no✌✌

Answer:

The odd one out in the following sequence is 34

Correct one should be 36 .

Step-by-step explanation:

I will start from the end .

Let us rotate the given data :

16 , 27 , 34 , 43 , 48 , 51 , 52 .

We notice that as we are approaching towards the right end the difference among the numbers are decreasing .

Hence the main logic behind the sequence must involve subtraction .

By subtraction we will come to common difference logic .

Let us find the increase / decrease and rate of such increase / decrease in the common difference .

To start with , we will name the variables like a1 , a2 , ..... and hence we are required to depict the logic in a2 - a1 , a3 - a2 , .. and so on .

27 - 16 = 11

34 - 27 = 7

43 - 34 = 9

48 - 43 = 5

51 - 48 = 3

52 - 51 = 1

Logically the bolded part is wrong .

Here the difference should be 9 and 7 but they are 7 and 9 .

So if we change the number 34 , then the problem is solved .

Change 34 to 36 , then 36 - 27 = 9 and 43 - 36 = 7 .

Basically the common difference of the sequence is itself an A,P .
