Answer:

i) 1= trachea/ wind pipe

2= Bronchi

3= bronchioles

4= alveolar sacs

ii) The increased surface area of lungs results in increased no. of alveolar sacs which will help in greater absorption of Oxygen.(remember that our each body cell needs O2 for producing their own energy in the form of ATP by cellular respiration). alveolar sac helps in exchanging O2 and CO2.

iii) Lungs are made up of muscle which can relax and contract, also the expansion and contraction of lungs is carried out by intercoastal muscles, diaphragm and ribs.
