Let x and y be two divided parts of 4500, then ;

x+y = 4500

x = 4500-y

(5/100)x = (10/100)y

x/20 = y/10

10x = 20y

x = 2y

comparing both equation we get ;

2y = 4500-y

3y = 4500

y = 1500

x = 2×1500

= 3000
