Hey, this is probably the right time to start your preparation for JEE. 2 years time is quite sufficient for the completion of syllabus and practicing questions. What should you start right away?

  1. Enroll yourself in a good coaching institute. It is totally your wish if you want to go offline or online coaching. I would suggest for online coaching as you can get to study the best lectures within the comfort of your homes.
  2. Go through the information bulletin released by the exam conducting authority so that you get to know all the details of the exams before-hand. JEE Main is organized by NTA, whereas JEE Advanced is conducted by any one of the IITs. Both the papers are held in computer-based mode only. Check out their official websites to know what the paper is all about and what will happen if you clear these papers. This will help you set a goal.
  3. Once you are familiar with the exam, take a print out of the syllabus and then make a timetable. This schedule you need to follow throughout the two years. You need to be dedicated and determined to clear JEE with high scores.
  4. Remember, you will need to devote time for school, self-study, revision and a lot of practice. So, make timetable accordingly.
  5. Mentally prepare your brain to study whole-heartedly. You cannot escape a day or else it will result in backlogs. Also, while studying the chapters, focus on understanding concepts and implementing it while solving questions. This will be beneficial for you when you solve previous year question papers and sample papers.
  6. Always make your own hand-written notes. These notes will work great at the end-time revision. Try to make flash cards and once you are through with the chapter, write important formulas on a single paper.
  7. Whenever you come across a doubt or have any query, clear it immediately. Backlogs are your worst enemy. So, try completing your daily tasks.
  8. Follow the timetable religiously because if you don’t know how to manage time, you won’t be able to succeed.
  9. Select the right study material. Burdening with unnecessary books will mentally stress you and later affect your preparation. So, try to stick to coaching notes/video lectures/NCERT and some top reference books like HC Verma, OP Tandon, etc.
  10. Hope this helps! If you need more tips, then follow Etoosindia.com Blog for details.
