India is a federal country. So it has got two major types of power division.
1. Horizontal division
2. Vertical division
-Horizontal division comprises of Judiciary(care takers of law), executive(they execute laws), legislature(they make laws). As they have equal power they can cross check each other.
-Vertical division comprises of union government then state government followed by block Samiti and panchayats.
