Science, asked by MarzanMohsin, 3 months ago

I'm seriously asking this question to the ones who are experienced and possess a strong knowledge on this topic. Is it really worth to study CSE or Software Engineering in South Korea? I want to know your honest advices and insights about this. Adding to that, I also want to know about job sectors and career opportunities on engineering in South Korea. Would it be a good choice?

Well, I can say it depends on which university that you will take. I am a computer science major student and have been studying for almost 6 and half years in the same major. Finishing my undergrad for four years and following with master course.

To be honest, there are way too many students majoring computer science. And computer science graduate students considered a bit 'lower grade' than other engineering major (such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering etc). The salary wage also not that good comparing to other business-related job.

Meanwhile, computer science major is really famous in some country. I don't know why, majoring computer science here is not a really big deal, at all. Unless, if you're taking computer science in a major university, like SKY. Seoul University, Korea University or Yonsei University. Or some other university like KAIST or Hanyang university. That is a good idea. If you're considering to take computer science major in other university, you better check first.
