Given Equation is 5x - 2y = 7 and xy = 2.

Now,

We know that (a-b)^2 = (a+b)^2 - 4ab

                        (5x - 2y)^2 = (5x + 2y)^2 - 4 * 5x * 2y

                       (7)^2 = (5x + 2y)^2 - 40(xy)

                       49 = (5x + 2y)^2 - 40(2)

                       49 + 80 = (5x + 2y)^2

                       129 = (5x + 2y)^2.

Therefore (5x + 2y)^2 = 129.

Hope this helps!
