I need an original story on"All That Glitters Is Not Gold". Nice story with proper English and not copied from anywhere. It should suit a seventh grader and should be satisfying. No rubbish answers please. ASAP

It's an original story created By my own imagination. I hope you may like it.

I looked at him like he was a marvellous creation of the Almighty God. His name was Thomas the German shepherd that I bought to win the dog race held at my college. He had a smoking brown colour which was shiny enough to make a person blind. His eyes were like fire whose warmth gave me goosebumps.
He had perfect amount of fat on his body. And his forelimbs were perfect that made him the most handsome dog that participated in the race. His strikingly handsome figure and features attracted all the masters of dogs that came to win the race and one even called him the Hercules of dogs. I was feeling very proud and joyous that I made the right choice.
But when the race began every single dream I thought about,burned to ash. He was last in the race. Yes , Thomas came last. I thought that every single penny I gave the shopkeeper to buy Thomas was a waste. He didn't even realised that he was in a competition. I made an investigation and came to know that Thomas belonged to rich family and enjoyed all the luxuries that a dog can only dream. He was not trained to race but to look handsome and cheerful, just to keep the image of the royal family.
I returned Thomas and thought that outer personality isn't everything but the way a man or an animal acts or reacts determine him as a good creation of the Almighty. I realized that Thomas was only good in his looks but he had nothing in him which makes a dog a real dog.
I realized that All that glitters is not gold.
