AB = AC (GIVEN)

<B = <C=y (ANGLE OPPOSITE TO EQUAL SIDES ARE EQUAL)

<BAD = <CAE= x (GIVEN)

IN TRIANGLE ABD,

<ADE= <B + <BAD (EXTERIOR ANGLE PROPERTY)

= x+y ___1

IN TRIANGLE AEC,

<AED = <C+ <EAC (EXTERIOR ANGLE PROPERTY)

=x+y____2

FROM 1 AND 2 WE GET,

<ADE = <AED

So, AE = AD (SIDES OPPOSITE TO EQUAL ANGLES ARE EQUAL)

So, ADE is isosceles.
