more than fifty years ago travelling was dangerous and difficult it was because the modern means of transport such as trains , buses , car and aeroplanes were very rare all the education could be had from books or the teachers but with advancement in the means of transport travelling has become a means of education 
bookish knowledge has its own importance bit gives us the basic knowledge of human activities we learn theoretically details but this knowledge becomes complete by having practical experience it is therefore quite essential that we move from place to place only travelling can gives us a practical shape... that is why travelling is essential for development of intellectual , moral and even commercial aspects of our life 
that is why 1000 of people are moving in trains , ships ,and aeroplane from country to country they travel not merely for the sake of pleasure they travel to gain experience which schools and college fail to teach them ...
