(a) endoplasmic reticulum is a folded membrane which connects the cell membrane to the nucleus.

(a) endoplasmic reticulum is a large network of membrane bound tubes and sheets
(b)it's structure is similar to plasma membrane
(c) smooth endoplasmic reticulum and rough endoplasmic reticulum
(d)it helps in detoxifying poisons and drugs
(e) membrane biogenesis is the process which involves the synthesis of cell membrane with the help of proteins and lipids.endoplasmic reticulum is responsible for synthesis of these membranes
