Black color appears to be black as it absorbs light of all wavelengths(VIBGYOR)..An object doesn't absorb the color, (which is reflects the color) it appears to be...Example leaves appear green as the cholorophyll pigment reflects green color.So black color absorbs light of all wavelengths (colors) so which keeps it's body warm..Hope it helps...
