Solution

Given

  • x/y = 4/3

Find

  • Value of (6x + 4y)/(6x- 5y)

Explanation

We have,

==> x/y = 4/3

Take Cross multiplication

==> 3x = 4y ___________(1)

Now, Calculate (6x + 4y)/(6x- 5y)

= (6x + 4y)/(6x- 5y)

Take 2 common by 6x

= (2×3x + 4y)/(2×3x - 5y)

keep 3x = 4y , by equ(1)

= (2 × 4y + 4y)/(2 × 4y - 5y)

= (8y + 4y)/(8y - 5y)

= 12y/3y

Cancel y , by Denominator & Numerator

= 12/3

Cancel 12 by 3

= 4

Hence

  • Value of (6x + 4y)/(6x- 5y) will be = 4
