Answer:

a) The top graph(i.e. green line) represent speed of cheetah. Reason is quite simple. We know that cheetah is the fastest running animal on land. So, speed of cheetah should be more than gazelle.

b) Also we know that ,

Acceleration = area under v-t graph

= area under speed time graph( in straight line case)

Cheetah's acceleration in the initial stages

= area of triangle

= 1/2 × base × height

= 1/2 × 4 × 30

= 2× 30

= 60 m/s²

c) Similarly , Gazelle's acceleration in the initial stages

= 1/2 × base × height

= 1/2 × 5 × 20

= 5 × 10

= 50 m/s²

d) Cheetah's deceleration at the end

=- 1/2 × base × height (as acceleration is decreasing so negative sign is used)

=- 1/2 × (16-14) × 30

= -1/2 × 2 × 30

= -30 m/s²
