1)During sunrise nd sunset the rays hve to travel at a larger part of atmosphere because they r very close to the horizon.therefore the light other than red is mostly scattered away. Most of the red light,which is least scattered enters our eyes hence the sky nd sun appear red.

2)Violet colour refractive index is maximum nd red colour is minimum
