Let fraction of work completed by a man per day be x (so x<1)

Given that 20*x*12=1 →(1)

since 1 means complete work}

Now ater 6 days 5 workers left.

So work completed till 6th day = 1/2

So work left = 1/2

Let no of days needed to complete remaining work be Y

So (20–5) * x * Y = 1/2 →(2)

Here 20–5 is no of workers left

And 1/2 is remaining work

now divide (1) with (2)

We get,

(20*12)/(15*Y) =2

=> 240= 30*Y

So Y= 8

So with number of days took to complete entire work = 6(with 20 workers)+ 8(with 15 workers) = 14 days

Hope it helped
