Let the constant be x,therefore

Length=5x and breadth=3x

Perimeter=2(l+b)

128=2(5x+3x)

64=8x

x=64/8

x=8

Length =5*8=40m

Breadth=3*8=24m

Step-by-step explanation:

5:3 are in ratio of which length and breadth are values

Perimeter = 128 m

Let the common multiple be x

.°. 5x + 3x + 5x + 3x = 128

[ Rectangle has 2 length and breadth]

16x = 128

.°. x = 8

Therefore Length= 5x = 5×8=40m

Breadth = 3x = 3×8 = 24 m
