I THREW A PEBBLE 20 METRE HIGH IN THE AIR.IT FELL AND SETTLED AT THE BOTTOM OF A LAKE 12METRES DEEP.WHAT IS THE DISTANCE THE PEBBLE FELL?

the tital distance covered = 20+20+12=52mts

hey friend! here is your answer-
you throwed a pebble 20 metres up then it travelled 20 metre and then it went into the water body 12 meter down so you wanted to find out the total distance travelled by the stone so, 
distance it travelled up in the air=20 metres
distance it travelled=20 metres
distance it travelled in depth=12 metres.
therefore, 20+20+12=52 metres.
