I threw a pebble 20 metres high in the air.It fell and settled at the bottom of a lake 12 metres deep.What is the distance the pebble fell?

The pebble went 20 metre in air and went 12 metre down the lake.
As it was thrown 20m up, so it would have travelled 20m again to get to surface of lake then 12m down.
Hence distance is 20+12 =32m
