well it means that because he took the road not taken by most of the people that moment when he felt to be different than others that thought and attitude changed his life. but in the poem the poet does not mention of it made a good difference or a bad one .

The fact that how his life is now might have been different if he might have taken the other road . May be everything would have changed it he took the other one road . So his choice of taking the less traveled road has made the difference in his life .
