Therefore,area of one square shaped scarf = A^ m.

So, 9/A^ = 16 (As 16 scarves are to be made and cloth is of area 9m^ )

9/16 = A^

root (9/16) = A

3/4 m = A.

Therefore,the length of the side of the scarf will be 3/4 m.
