Dad: Hey Ravi! Do you know about the recent developments in the taxation policy in India?
Ravi: Yes, I heard about it. Are you talking about GST??
Dad: Yes I am talking about the Goods and Service Tax.
Ravi: Tell me, dad, Is this sort of taxation levied in any other country?
Dad: I'm not sure but I think this is the norm in the USA.
Ravi : I see, Since when has this started?
Dad: It started from the first of July 2017 and has been quite the talk of the town.
Ravi: But how does this help our people?
Dad: It reduces the cost or essential products to the final consumer because of low tax rates.
