Answer:

The temple is situated near Pondicherry, in the village of Pappanchavadi, Vanur Taluk, Villupuram Dist on the.Tindivanam

Puduchery Road .

This famous Anjaneya temple is situated 12 km away from Pondicherry

and spread over a land measuring 12 acres donated by a devotee named

Santhanam Iyengar.

He invited Shree Ramani of Sri Maruthi Bhaktha Samajam Trust, who had been instrumental in the construction of the 32 ft Anjaneya temple in Nanganallur Chennai with blessing from Kanchu Mahaperiva to visit his land ppanchavadi Vannur taluk on Tindivanam Road .

Shri Ramani then under took a visit and immediately on setting foit on this land he was convinced that an Ananeyar temple would be ideal .

The construction of the temple started in June 1999 and in June 2003 the statue of Panchamukha Anjaneyar measuring 36 ft was installed and is reported to be the second tallest in India .

The temple itself was named Panchavatee after the forest in which Lord Rama & Sita in Ramayana isxsaid ti have spent some years in Vanavasam .

This Anjaneyar presents five faces apart from his own in the centre , surrounded by Garuda , Hygrevar ,

Narashimma and Varaha all being

different reincarnation of Lird Vishnu.

The main offering to this Anjaneyar is

Vada made of urud dhal in order to please him for this ingradient is reported to be cooling the

extreme power of Anjaneya and render him to be benevolent to the disciple who makes the offering and grant the boon prayed for .

The other good effect of offering this Vada is that the grahas Saneeshwaran

Rahu and ketu in proximity yo Anjaneyar also turn benevolent towards tge devotee who makes the offerring.

The temple is open from 8 30 am to 11 am and again from 4 pm to 8 pm .

The popularity of this temple has been growing over the years for many have experienced good times after worshipping in this land mark temple ..
