Of all the creations of the Almighty there is none more inspiring and more beautiful than a woman. A woman is known for her tender nature, unconditional love and motherly attitude. As far as india is considered there are so many assets to be proud of because we are indians. India is the cradle of human race and the birthplace of human rights is a famous quote by mark twain. Indian tradition and culture are highly respected by millions on the planet.
indian women are considered to be very tolerant, they are considered to be forms of the mother goddess. They deserve respect and dignity for the sacrifices they do through out their lives.. But it is indeed shocking that in a country which stands morally tall like india, there are so many incidents which cause disgrace to the society, especially to women. The increasing number of sexual harrasment is a shame to the nation. Many innocent women fall prey to the lust and anger of arrogant men.
Many women study and work and bear the economical burden of their family. This enhances their position in the society but their safety always remains at risk. There are also a few superstitious practices like child marriage which prevent women from pursuing their educational dreams.
Implementing dress code, increasing the safety of women, punishing offenders severely will secure the position of women in the society.. A woman must be treated equally as a man. As gandhiji said, " she should forget that she is the object of man's lust. She should occupy a proud position by his side as his mother, maker and silent leader".
