Brahmaputra River:
The Brahmaputra river originates from the Kailash Range of Himalayas range at an elevation of about 5,150m. After flowing from Tibet it re-enters India from Arunachal Pradesh and merges into Bay Of Bengal. The states in which it flows are: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland and West Bengal. About 4,696 km long, The brahmaputra river is important for irrigation and transportation. The average depth is 30m and the maximum depth is 135m. Its two main tributaries are Luit and Dilao.
Yamuna River:
River Yamuna originates from the Yamunotri Glacier of the Himalayas and is the largest tributary of Ganga in India. Across its total length of about 1380 km it passes through like Himachal pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana and Delhi.The mouth of river Yamuna is Ganga. The maximum depth of this river in Delhi is about 60 feet.
