area of shaded region = ar(∆ABC)+ar(semicircle with diameter AC)-ar(sector with radius BC)

ar(∆ABC)= 1/2*28*21

= 14*21

= 294cm²

AC=√BC²+AB²

=√21²+28²

= √441+784

=√1225

= 35

ar(semi circle) = πr²/2

= 22*35*35/7*2

= 11*5*35

= 1925cm²

ar(sector) = 90/360*22/7*21*21

= 22*3*21/4

=11*3*21/2

= 693/2

= 346.5

ar(shaded region)= 294+1925-346.5

=1872.5cm²
