Kargil War was fought in 1999 and was initiated by Pakistan in order to capture the territory of Kargil. Terrorists and Pakistani soldiers intruded inside Indian territory through the LOC.

There weren't much soldiers to guard the boundaries and Pakistan took advantage of this including the immobility in those areas due to extreme winters. The Indian soldiers had to face extreme weather conditions but they didn't loose their hope and stood against the Pakistani's and the terrorists. The Indian soldiers were adamant to save their motherland and were ready to sacrifice their lives.
