length=6m

breadth=4m

depth or height=1.25m

now ...the wet surface area of the cistern is base and four walls of the cistern.

now the base area of the cistern

=(6×4)m²

=24m²

and the area if the four walls

=2(1.25×6)+2(1.25×4)

=2.5×6+2.5×4

=2.5(6+4)

=25 m²

therefore total wet surface area of the cistern is

=(24+25)m²

=49m²
