You can gave on Poverty in India                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Poverty is the state of being poor. A person in poverty is unable to satisfy the basic needs of decent food, adequate clothing and a protective housing. According to United Nations statistics 20% population lives below poverty line.  These people are unable to earn more than US $ 2 per day.  India's poverty line in 2014 is a monthly income of just Rs 970 in rural areas and Rs 1400 in Urban areas.  

    Poverty is the parent of revolution and crime, said Aristotle, the wise philosopher.  A hungry and poor is not a free man, said Stevenson. In india it is often said that real poverty is that of not having good character, and not being economically poor. A wise man said, poverty is good to read or write about, butexperiencing poverty is the worst thing that can happen to a person.
 
   Poverty is definitely a hindrance for good education and it curbs a person of many rights. Since independence there have been a lot of schemes to reduce poverty and infuse development and prosperity. 

   To eradicate poverty, we need good education, continuous hardwork and eradication of corruption. Ability to earn is to be developed by vocational training. It is important to reduce poverty as it diverts youth towards crimes. It is good that in India we have many voluntary organizations helping the downtrodden and feeding the poorest people.

   Now India and its people are awake. The progressive policies are paving way for a prosperous India. In a few decades, we will surely see every citizen of India above poverty line. That is, all citizens will have the basic needs of hygienic and nutritious food, decent clothing and a house to live in. That's the India I wish to see.
