The poem The Wind Begun to Rock the Grass by Emily Dickinson narrates the happenings on or near a farm after a storm.

The grass began swaying from one side to side and the trees began to shed leaves. The dust began to spread all over. The wagons hurried fast to reach their destination and their was an occasional bout of thunder. Birds stayed glued to their nests while cattle rushed to their barns. The occasional lightening resembled the claws of a bird ready to pounce on its target.

All of a sudden, the first drop of rain hit the ground. Soon, there was a downpour and the whole place was flooded. However, thankfully, her father’s house was not affected.
