Answer:
You can not serve the entire period of your Articleship in Investment Banks, but you can apply for Industrial Training in the third year of your Articleship in an Investment Bank.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India allows a CA Student to pursue industrial training in the third year of Articleship, in any Industry, in a company which meets the guidelines set by the ICAI, and under a member of the institute.
The first two years of Articleship have to be completed in any Chartered Accountancy Firm.
So if you seek exposure in investing during your articleship period, you may join a CA Firm which has clients that work in this industry. After working for two years in the CA Firm, you may apply for Industrial Training in investment banks that give such opportunities.
Best of Luck.!
