Answer: Horace ( 65 - 8 BC)
He is one of the most important classic philosophers. He is Roman, and as a literary critic, he stands to Plato and Aristotle. He considers poet a creator not just a mediator. At the same time, he pays more attention to the form of a literery work than to the content. His most significant critical work, now generally known as the "Ars Poetics" ( on the Art of Poetry). He also devotes most attention to drama, even though this was not his own field. Horace is not much concerned with the mysteries of literature as imitation, but has a big deal to say about techniques of art in literary structure.
