ball bearings are used to reduce friction and to enhance motion, these are used in automobile, generally in wheels. treads as we know are used in tires, shoes etc.. these are used to improve friction. cuz while riding or running we feel to brake when we see any obstacles so friction comes in handy when you apply brakes.
