Dear Chandni,
I had a lovely experience last week and I am so eager to share it with you. Our family planned a trip to Agassaim, a village in North Goa, to visit a distant grandmother. My father told me that she wanted to see our family and spend time with us. He told me that she was responsible for his education when he was a boy as his parents couldn't afford his education.
As it was a remote village and phone network is very poor, we decided to leave our phones behind. It was a beautiful village with a small river winding through it. My grandmother's house was just on the banks of the river and we spent long hours on the river bank every day. As it was winter time, there were many migratory birds which flocked the place. The place was forested with not many houses around. So it was a sanctuary and we had one week of blissful life. For the first time I realised the importance of unplugging from electronic devices and enjoying a village life away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
We are planning to go again in summer to spend time with my grandmother. This time I want you to come with me and expereince the life there. See you soon and expecting a reply from you soon. Bye
With love,
Harini

Dear Mahi:
I hope this letter finds you in perfect health and happiness at the beginning of the New Year. I am going to share with you how I spent my winter break far from the madding crowd. As you already know, my uncle lives in a remote village in Himachal Pradesh, I spent one week in that sylvan and idyllic village. During the winter the village is just a white heaven. Everything is covered in snow. Most of the time we have to stay inside as the temperature is many degrees below zero. You must be wondering then why I wanted to go there. Well, I love it this way. Every moment is extraordinary. From the windows, I get to see vistas of indescribable beauty which we can only find there. The trees are covered with icicles. The streams are frozen. In order to keep the inside of the house warm, fireplace has to be kept lighted all the time. The silence is wonderful. And the food and air are so salubrious. I had a full rejuvenating week at the village. I always look forward to this paradise of beauty. The rest is fine. Where do you spend your winter break? Give parnam to uncle and aunt.
Yours lovingly,
Ashu
